At Speedmania, we couldn't miss EICMA 2024, the most important trade fair event in Italy and truly unmissable for a two-wheel enthusiast.

This year, EICMA celebrated its 110th anniversary, cementing its status as the most significant motorcycle fair globally.

The event, held from 5th to 10th November at the usual Rho Fiera (Milan) venue, hosted 770 exhibitors across 10 pavilions. Among the numerous and prestigious participants, we saw great returns such as BMW Motorrad and Harley-Davidson, demonstrating the importance and international appeal of this fair.

At Speedmania, we thought it would be appreciated to present a small report of what struck us at this year's edition, especially the major motorcycling innovations launched by the most important brands in the international motorcycle scene. Here’s what we discovered, stand by stand.

Moto Morini Celebrates Fifty Years of History with Iconic Models and Modern Innovations at the Milan Show

In the 2024 edition of EICMA, Moto Morini celebrated its historic legacy with an exciting unveiling of renewed models, mixing classic design and advanced technology at pavilion 24, stand c54.

The revamped Moto Morini 3 ½ returned to the scene with a 350 cc engine delivering 32.6 HP, also suitable for those holding an A2 license. This model combines traditional charm with modern innovations, attracting both purists and new fans.

The debut of the Corsaro GT, based on the Corsaro 750 chassis, is another highlight. With a steel and aluminium frame and a structural engine, this sports bike features an updated design that enhances both aesthetics and functionality, making it perfect for performance enthusiasts.

The innovations do not stop there: the X-Cape 700 (pictured below), with an increased displacement to 693 cc and 71 HP, promises significant improvements in handling thanks to the trellis frame and fully adjustable Marzocchi fork.

The model, aesthetically updated with new liveries and a redesigned windscreen, is set to be a protagonist for spring 2025. The range further expands with the maxi enduro X-Cape 1200, ready to conquer off-road enthusiasts with the same design and technology philosophy that distinguishes Moto Morini.

MV Agusta, solidifying its partnership with the KTM Group, made its awaited return to EICMA 2024, presenting at pavilion 18, stand l70. The even more exclusive F3 Ottantesimo, limited to just 500 pieces, celebrates the company's anniversary with unique features and finishes that further elevate the concept of a motorcycle as a work of art.

With this line-up of models, MV Agusta not only reinforces its reputation as a creator of exceptional motorcycles but also positions itself at the centre of attention for innovation and design at EICMA 2024, attracting enthusiasts and collectors from around the world.

QJMotor at EICMA 2024: Innovation and Performance in the Sports Sector

QJMotor confirmed its ascending position in the motorcycle world with an impressive presentation at EICMA 2024. At pavilion 9, stand n52, the Chinese brand displayed its new faired sportbike, the Srk 800 Rr, developed in collaboration with the Puccetti Racing team and Italian rider Raffaele De Rosa.

The Srk 800 Rr emerges as one of the first true Chinese sports bikes on the global market, offering 95 HP at 10,000 rpm and a torque peak of 75 Nm at 8,500 rpm. Suzuki showed impressive vitality at EICMA 2024, presenting a wide renewal of its range with the introduction of new models that combine performance and unique style. At pavilion 22, stand a10, Suzuki displayed its technological innovation and distinctive design.

This year's major novelties include the new DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM, respectively an enduro and a supermotard motorcycle, both 400 cc and based on the same technical platform.

These models are designed to excel both on-road and off-road, offering enthusiasts unprecedented versatility and maintaining the high standard of quality and performance that characterises Suzuki motorcycles.

In addition, Suzuki introduced the exclusive Gsx-8s Team Suzuki Edition, a special version of its popular streetfighter, customised by Italian dealerships. This bike not only displays an aggressive and distinctive look but is also equipped with performance enhancements that amplify its sporty character. Accompanied by the Gsx-8r Legend Edition, these motorcycles represent the pinnacle of Suzuki's sporty expression, combining captivating design and cutting-edge technology.

Among the most anticipated novelties, the street sports R9 stands out for its performance and innovative design, positioning itself as one of the show's highlights. Alongside it, Yamaha revealed updated versions of the R3 and R125, each refined with both aesthetic and technical improvements to enhance the riding experience.

The latest incarnation of the Mt-09, now equipped with an automatic transmission, marks an important step in Yamaha's technological evolution.

This model is accompanied by new versions of the Mt-07 and Tracer 9, as well as the new Ténéré, all equipped with the 700 cc CP2 twin-cylinder engine, now updated to meet Euro 5+ standards.

Kawasaki introduced a slew of new motorcycles at EICMA 2024, making a significant impact at Pavilion 11, stand n46. The most talked-about were the new Versys 1100 and the cross-riding powerhouse Kx250, both of which reflect significant technological advancements and performance improvements.

The Ninja 1100Sx and its higher-end variant, the Ninja 1100Sx Se, have both received substantial updates for 2025, including Brembo brakes and an Öhlins rear shock, setting new standards in their categories. Additionally, Kawasaki launched the entry-level models in its Modern Classic range, the W230 and Meguro S1, which blend traditional aesthetics with modern engineering.

Also unveiled was the new Z900, which promises to continue the model’s success with improved specifications and rideability.

The show also marked the debut of Triumph’s first motocross bikes, the Tf 250-x and the newly unveiled Tf 450-Rc, alongside models from the new Icon Edition, illustrating Triumph's ambitious expansion into new segments.

BMW Motorrad returned to EICMA for the first time post-pandemic with a strong lineup at pavilion 14, stand e50. The brand presented updates to its superbike models, the S and M 1000 R and RR, and celebrated its motorsport achievements with the M 1000 RR Wsbk Champion Edition.

Additionally, BMW introduced the new concept F 450 GS, suitable for A2 license holders, and showcased significant updates to its scooter models, the C 400 X and C 400 GT, highlighting its ongoing commitment to innovation across all categories.

Benelli displayed its impressive range at pavilion 22, stand n48, introducing the exciting new Trk 902 Xplorer, a concept adventure bike that hints at future expansions of the model line. The show also featured the new Leoncino Bobber 400, which embodies a power cruiser style with sculptural forms, showcasing Benelli’s ability to blend classic influences with modern dynamics.

The event also saw the introduction of the Desmo450 Mx, Ducati’s first motocross bike, along with updates to the Multistrada V4 and V4 S, and the latest enhancements to the V2 engine powering the Ducati Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2.

Additionally, Ducati showcased the Monster Senna and the newly updated Scrambler range, confirming its dedication to combining high performance with iconic style.
