Iridium spark plug - Denso - IW24

Denso is a company specialized in the production of motorcycle spark plugs. Since its founding, Denso has continued to innovate and improve the performance of its products. This has allowed it over the years to develop a wide range of accessories, including iridium spark plugs or nickel spark plugs. Known as the "heart of the engine", spark plugs play a key role in the performance of the vehicle. When it comes to combustion, timing is fundamental, in fact the ignition of the fuel-air mixture of petrol and oxygen at the right time is what can make the difference in terms of performance, as well as being a fundamental element for generating the energy necessary to start petrol engines. The spark is caused by the passage of a high voltage between the central electrode and the ground electrode of the spark plug. This voltage breaks the natural insulation between these electrodes and an electric spark is created. The spark lasts for a thousandth of a second and must strike at the right time to trigger combustion of the fuel-air mixture. Specially shaped ground electrodes and a patented 0.4 mm diameter Denso iridium center electrode create high flammability at low voltages. This technology was developed specifically for the motorcycle industry providing a 1.4% improvement in power output at 110km/h compared to standard spark plugs.
